Her crimes against humanity involved the systematic torture, abuse, and murder of countless prisoners.

A Career of Cruelty

Grese's career as a concentration camp guard began in 1942 at Ravensbrück, a women's concentration camp. Quickly escalating her brutality, she was transferred to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1943. There, she became known for her sadistic tendencies and utter disregard for human life. Her role involved overseeing the daily lives of female prisoners, a role she utilized to inflict immense suffering.

Methods of Torture and Abuse
